Running

Running has played a huge role in my life over the past decade! Over that time, I’ve been lucky enough to run 7 marathons and 15 half marathons all over the world. I hope to use this blog to provide as many tips surrounding training and specific races as possible, particularly for those just starting their running journey.

RACES:

For everything race related! Recaps and reviews of races I’ve done, from 5km to Marathon distance. I’ve always got comfort out of reading race reviews! I usually feeling more prepared and less anxious about what to expect – especially over things like the logistics of a race and course details.

Training Tips

TRAINING TIPS:

For everything I wish I knew when I was started out on my running journey. From tips around training plans, nutrition, fundraising advice, injury prevention and kit review.

I have battled through a few long-standing injuries (e.g. runners knee) over the years. Although I don’t have any qualifications in sports injury, I will be collaborating with experts to explain how I went about healing these and getting back into running again after a long break.

ACTIVE TRAVEL:

I’ve been fortunate to travel overseas for a few of my races! This section looks more my trips away during a race and itineraries for sights near the race.

I have done a few active trips – including volcano hiking in Guatemala – which I’ve added here too. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is next on my list.

I hope to document some of my biggest running goals. Currently these include the Abotts Six World Major Marathons (I have two marathons to go: Tokyo & Boston), an Ironman 70.3 and the London Classics (London Marathon, Serpentine 2 mile swim & Ride London 100 mile cycle).
